The special episode of Dog the Bounty Hunter ran on Tuesday, October 24th
on A&E is a special episode of Dog the Bounty Hunter called "this ones for you".
Our father Garry Smith, also know as "POPS" on the show died earlier this year due to complications of heart disease and diabetes.
This episode will air footage taken prior to the death February 28, 2006.
"I know our dad was trying his best to hold on long enough to see his youngest daughter Beth be married to her long time love.
Unfortunately, his body could not hold out any longer.
His funeral came just one day before his mother's 93 birthday.
I know our father was happy that all 5 of his children were there along with most of his grand kids,
our mother and Dad's long time best friend Carol.
Beth had a very special bond with our father, he would go to Hawaii to spend time with the family
and his small appearances on the show made him very happy.
He loved Duane and absolutely loved Hawaii.
Beth brought him to Hawaii for the first time a few years ago, but it was not only his first trip to Hawaii,
it was his first time on an Airplane.
He enjoyed it so much that he made a habit of going to Hawaii at least once a year to visit.
This episode has not been aired for a number of reasons but now I think it's time to see it.
Duane and Beth have endured a lot of emotional highs and lows this year and watching this was difficult for all of us."
